“Entä jos” on valokuvia ja sirpaleproosaa yhdistävä näyttelykokonaisuus, joka koostuu kuva- ja tekstipareista sekä kymmenistä unelmista.

Unelmointi ja oman paikan etsiminen ei rajoitu vain nuoruuteen, vaan itsensä tulee määrittää vuosi toisensa jälkeen uudelleen. Digiajan päällekkäisissä todellisuuksissa voi testata erilaisia unelmia, kuvittaa itsensä paikkoihin, joissa miettii onko sinne kelvollinen, vai kelvoton.

Teoksissa toistuu kuvitteellisen ja toden, rohkeuden ja arkuuden, rakkauden ja pelon limitteisyys ja vuoropuhelu. Epäröinti on kompurointia niiden välillä. Kompuroinnista huolimatta haaveilu jatkukoon. Entä jos rakastaa unelmointia kaikessa kömpelyydessään?

”What if” is an exhibition that combines photographs and prose fragments. It consists of pairing of photographs and texts and tens of dreams.

Dreaming and looking for one’s place is not limited exclusively to youth. One has to define oneself year after year, in some way, to each picture. The overlapping and moving realities of the digital age give us a change to cure our dreams, ourselves, the living picture, the picture within picture, shaped, malleable. One can try out different dreams, visualize oneself in different places and try to figure out if you are good enough to be there or not. Sometimes you are heartbreakingly alone with your dream.

The running theme of this exhibition is the dialogue and the overlap between the imagined and what is real. Courage and shyness. Love and fear. Despite all the scrambling, the dreaming may continue. What if one happens to love dreaming despite its clumsiness?
